Frequently Asked Questions About Aussie Doodle

Doodle Puppies in Canada

Below are some of the most common questions families have about North Lake Doodles, our breeding program, and bringing home a Doodle puppy. If you have additional questions, we are always happy to help.

An Aussie Doodle is a cross between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle. This combination creates a highly intelligent, affectionate, and active companion dog.

Aussie Doodles are known for their trainability, loving personalities, and beautiful coats. Because they inherit traits from both breeds, they are often very people-oriented and thrive in homes where they are part of everyday family life.

Many Aussie Doodles are considered low shedding, especially those that inherit more of the Poodle coat. However, shedding levels can vary depending on the genetics of the individual puppy.

Puppies with curly coats tend to shed the least, while wavy coats may have minimal shedding. Regular grooming and brushing are important to keep their coats healthy and mat-free.

Yes. Aussie Doodles are known for being excellent family companions. They are intelligent, loyal, and affectionate dogs that often form strong bonds with their families.

They typically do very well with children and enjoy being included in family activities. Because they are an active and intelligent breed, they also benefit from regular exercise and mental stimulation.

Yes. Health testing is a very important part of our breeding program. All of our breeding dogs undergo extensive genetic health testing before being included in our program.

Responsible breeding helps reduce the risk of hereditary health conditions and ensures we are producing healthy, well-bred puppies.

North Lake Doodles is located in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. We work with families both locally and across Canada who are looking for well-bred Doodle puppies.

Our puppies are typically ready to join their new families at around 8 weeks of age. This allows them time to properly develop, socialize with their littermates, and receive early care before transitioning to their new homes.

Our puppies are raised with care and leave our home with the proper early support they need. Puppies typically go home with:

  • Age-appropriate vaccinations
  • A health check
  • Early socialization and handling
  • Information to help you transition your puppy home

Our goal is to make sure every puppy is healthy, confident, and ready to join their new family.

Families interested in one of our Doodle puppies are encouraged to contact us to learn more about upcoming litters and the reservation process.

Because our litters are carefully planned and limited, many puppies are reserved before they are born. Reaching out early is the best way to secure a spot for a future puppy.

Yes. Many families choose to join our puppy deposit so they can reserve a puppy from an upcoming litter. Joining the deposit list holds your place in line and helps ensure families have the opportunity to bring home a puppy when a litter becomes available.

Yes, we allow puppy visits at 6 weeks of age so that you can choose your puppy.  Puppies are chosen in order of deposit received when their personalities start to develop.  If you are not local we are happy to do a puppy visit through video calling.

Our top priority is making sure each puppy goes to a loving and responsible home.
