This page highlights some of the past Doodle puppies raised at North Lake. Every litter is unique, and one of the most exciting parts of raising our pups is seeing the incredible variety of coat colors and patterns that puppies can inherit from their parents. By sharing photos of our previous puppies, families can get a better idea of the types of colors, markings, and coat patterns that our program may produce in future litters. Because Aussie Doodles inherit genetics from both Australian Shepherds and Poodles, their coats can come in a wide range of beautiful and unique variations.
One of the most recognizable traits of our Doodles is their stunning coat patterns. Below are some of the common colors that may appear in our litters.

Blue merle is one of the most popular Aussie Doodle coat patterns. It features a marbled mix of silver, grey, and black tones, often paired with white and copper markings. Each blue merle coat is completely unique, making every puppy one of a kind.

Red merle coats have a similar marbled pattern but use lighter red, cream, and copper tones instead of the darker greys seen in blue merles. These coats are beautiful and highly sought after.

Black tri-colored coats feature a black base with white and copper markings typically seen on the chest, legs, and face. This pattern is commonly inherited from the Australian Shepherd side of the lineage.

Red tri coats are similar to black tri but feature a deep red base color instead of black, along with white and copper accents.
Often called a fleece coat, this is one of the most common coat types for Aussie Doodles. It has a soft, slightly wavy texture and is often lower shedding.
More similar to the Poodle coat, curly coats tend to be very low shedding and require regular grooming.
In addition to color, Aussie Doodles can also have different coat textures depending on the genetics of the parents.

Some Aussie Doodles inherit more solid coat colors from the Poodle side of their genetics. These can include solid black, red, apricot, or cream coats that have a very clean and elegant appearance.

Because of the unique genetics behind Doodles, no two litters are exactly the same. Each puppy can inherit different colors, markings, coat types, and personality traits. This is one of the things families love most about the breed — every puppy has its own unique look and personality while still maintaining the intelligence, loyalty, and affectionate nature that Aussie Doodles are known for.
